Major (Retired) Dave Whittier
Dave Whittier retired from the Canadian Forces in January 2006 at the rank of major, after twenty years as a communications and electronics engineer/signal officer. He has served overseas in Cyprus and Croatia, and was in Kabul as part of Operation Athena, Roto 2, from August 2004 to February 2005. Dave is presently director of telecommunications with the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. An aspiring writer, he currently has two published short stories to his credit. Dave is married with two children and lives in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
