Captain Dave McAllister
Dave McAllister was born in 1968 in Vancouver, and enlisted in the reserves during his first year at the University of British Columbia. In 1989, while still a student, he served a peacekeeping tour in Namibia. Captain McAllister was transferred from the regular forces to the Army Reserve in 2005, and was immediately selected for service with the First Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, Task Force Orion. He deployed to Kandahar in January 2006 and served, until redeployment in August 2006, as the operations officer for the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team. Captain McAllister lives in Squamish, British Columbia.
